Volunteer to help the Watershed!1. Become a Board Member of Shorelines & Watersheds! Contact: contact@shorelinesandwatersheds.org for more information. 2. Participate in our Skunk Awareness Program. Help us educate the community members who live in the neighborhoods surrounding Coal Oil Point Reserve about the relationship between skunks and ground nesting shorebirds. See the Programs link for more information or contact: cerra@umail.ucsb.edu 3. Become a Coal Oil Point Reserve Tour Leader! Contact: coprstaff@lifesci.ucsb.edu for more information. 4. Join the Snowy Plover Docent Program! This program operated by Coal Oil Point Reserve and the Santa Barbara Audubon Society has a team of 50 volunteer docents. Docent commit two hours per week to educating users of beautiful Sand's beach about an Endangered Shorebird, the Western Snowy Plover and its beach habitat. Contact: stroh@lifesci.ucsb.edu or see our links for more information. 5. Participate in a restoration day at Coal Oil Point Reserve. Restoration days are typically a half day of weekend work.
